The 52 weeks continue to pass rapidly and Friday saw me attempting gig photography.
I am not very experienced in this kind of photography and it brings its own unique challenges.
Many photographers will of course see photography as a means to control and capture light. In a gig you have next to no control at all, and the light is usually very low or very bright.
In this case I used mostly Aperture priority mode, f/2.8, and an ISO of 1600-3200 to keep the shutter speed fast enough to avoid excessive blur. Even so this was not enough to avoid the blurring of hands playing guitar. White Balance was set to incandescent to show the colours in their true light.
Say Yes More are my good friends John and Gavin, they write their own songs which are fantastic. If you would like to know more visit them at http://www.facebook.com/SayYesMore
