Bridal Shoot in Birmingham – Brindley Place

Roxana Bridal PortraitI had been planning on carrying out a bridal shoot, mostly just for fun and my portfolio. Fortunately Roxana a friend from Birmingham was available as was a wedding dress kindly provided by Robert Newman.
So we travelled to St Thomas’s Peace Garden in Birmingham to capture some bridal style images. This garden was a classical church, unfortunately bombed during the war. All that remains is one entrance, the tower and a single corridor of pillars.

Sadly as luck would have it most of the site was fenced off due to safety concerns, it seems the building that remains has not been maintained in recent years and was off limits. This left us with very limited space to work in. Still that is part of the skill of a wedding photographer, the ability to adjust and react to whatever is thrown at us. The weather too seemed against as it changed rapidly between bright sunshine and rain.

Happy to report we captured some great images still and had a fun day.

Thanks to Roxana and Robert for their help and support.

Great stuff Matt, always good to give yourself a challenge and I think you have succeeded here.

    Lovely stuff there.

Would be nice to get even close to these ;)

  3. Absolutely love these images Matt. Very editorial. Love the simplistic “posing” and processing is beautiful. Beautiful all round!
