It seems to have been a particularly mild winter this year, and I even managed to get a little time off to attend the SWWP Photography Convention in London.
The convention really gave me a chance to meet fellow photographers, network and find inspiration for 2012.
The year is certainly an exciting prospect for me. Although I am winding down on weddings, I am moving forward with a special bespoke portrait service that should really give you the opportunity to have an image that is both unique and relevant to you.
I am also pleased to announce my new project which I am beginning this year. Called “Snap out of it” the project will raise awareness of the issues relating to depression. As the year progresses I will shoot a range of conceptual images of my own design, in conjunction with make up artists, models and stylists to create a series of powerful photographs. The aim is to highlight the issues whilst reducing the stigma attached to such illnesses.
The new section is open now in the menu, a gallery will be added soon with the images in question.
I have also been continuing my mentoring with inspiring photographer Damian McGillicuddy, below is an image taken at the latest workshop. Despite looking like a photoshop trick, the image was captured in camera.
Lastly in February I will be taking a trip to Venice and hope to return with some photographs to share. As luck would have it a few models will be coming along too.
